Bacolod’s tourist attractions, here are some places to add on your list.
The Dizon-Ramos Museum shows the architecture of after-war Bacolod. They say that the house was a blend of modern and neo-classic wherein the visitors get a sense of how upper-middle class lived in Bacolod during the 1950s.
It is located along Burgos Avenue near Lacson Street where most jeepneys pass. You can reach there from the airport by taking a van or tricycle going to Silay's highway (Rizal Street). Then you should take a bus or jeepney going south to Robinson's Bacolod. From there, just ask some folks which jeepney will take you to the nearest Burgos Avenue or Mamma Maria's Pizza, walk around 100 meters going southeast and you'll reach the museum.
Another place to visit is the Mambukal Mountain Resort which lies 1,200 feet above sea level and serves as a gateway to Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park. It's originally developed by a Japanese architect in 1927 and was started as a bathhouse as well as a picnic garden.
It is located in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia which is 35 minutes away from Bacolod if you drive by a private car passing through Murcia town. Jeepneys are also accessible in the northwestern side of the Libertad Public Market. However, their trips to Mambukal Mountain Resort starts from 7:20am to 7:00pm only.
